November student spotlight - Porter!

This is Porter. He's five and a whole lotta fun! He's been working hard on "Hot Cross Buns," or, "Hot Cross Bones," as he calls it. Porter likes to tell stories with his music making and has such creative interpretations of the tunes and exercises we do together in our lessons. I hope he always keeps that part of himself alive and free!

Grow Music masterclass and workshop at the University of New Mexico

In early November, Jessica was invited as a guest artist to work with four university students and a spunky 5 year old girl in a masterclass for the cello. Then the real fun began when more students, local music teachers, and cello professors all joined in to read through several of Jessica's cello ensemble arrangements and fiddle tunes. It was a blast - I think "chopping" was the favorite lesson of the day! Many thanks to the wonderful Lisa Collins for making this happen!
