GM Policies: These policies are an effort to maintain respect of the time and expertise of our teaching artists, to respect and honor the families we serve, and to assist in developing consistency for a lifelong relationship to music! Media
We occasionally take photos and/or video during our classes and performances. Sometimes we like to share these wonderful images on our website or socials. We NEVER use names. Please reach out if you have concerns or explicitly DO NOT give us permission to take or use photos of your family members. Text: 406.493.4533 or Email: [email protected]
Private lessons
All private lessons should be paid by the month, by the first lesson of each month. If payment comes after the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee will be added. Grow Music private lessons are paid as monthly tuition. Refunds or credits will not be given for missed (no show or last minute cancellation) lessons.
All private lessons needing to be canceled, changed, or rescheduled should be done through contacting Grow Music by email or phone/text. Advance notice is appreciated.
Lessons can still happen with or without a student's instrument! There are many additional things (like theory, history, notation, rhythm skills) to learn about music that extend beyond our instruments.
A minimum 24-hour notice MUST be given for cancellation/change of any private lesson. If so, a make-up lesson or the monthly make-up masterclass (if applicable) will be offered depending on the instructor's availability. If a reschedule is not possible, a lesson refund or credit will be issued. If Grow Music is NOT given 24hrs notice, you will be expected to pay for the missed lesson. COVID update: if your child has covid, a reschedule will be offered. Please do your best to give as much advance notice as possible.
In our effort to respect busy schedules, a teacher's commitment to weekly mentorship, a general shortage of music teachers in Missoula and a growing waitlist, Grow Music reserves the right to terminate a lesson spot after 3 last-minute cancellations or no-show lessons.
All Grow Music teachers reserve the right to cancel due to illness or other professional obligations. Students/parents will be informed as soon as possible and offered appropriate alternatives and/or rescheduling.
ZOOM participation is offered for all lessons! This is a great option for minor illness, slippery roads, travel, or transportation issues. Please give a 24hr request for Zoom lessons so that we can be prepared! At times, ZOOM and/or the internet can be spotty to no fault of Grow Music or the other parties. We do not offer refunds for unreliable internet or Zoom connections.
GM students who take individual lessons are welcome to a 10% discount on additional group classes offered through Grow Music.
Group classes
DISCOUNTS - Any Multi-Session discounts must be paid in full by the start of the first session. If not, the discount does not apply.
10% Sibling discounts are offered for families for all group classes. Discount taken from the lesser class cost. Private and semi-private lessons are excluded from discounts. Multiple discounts cannot be combined.
Group classes/sessions are offered as a package. Missed classes during the session cannot be refunded, made up, or credited.
Since group classes have limited enrollment, shall a student choose to terminate enrollment, no refunds will be given.
Due to our small classes often filling up, a $40 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your spot for any class. Without the retainer paid, registration is not complete and a spot cannot be guaranteed. Enrollment is first come.
Grow Music teachers reserve the right to cancel lessons due to illness or professional obligations. Students and parents will be informed as soon as possible and offered appropriate alternatives, subs, and/or rescheduling.
Grow Music reserves the right to refuse registration, terminate participation, or end/change a class at any time. If a class is terminated, all appropriate refunds will be honored.
For all classes, parents/caregivers are welcome to wait in the lobby, or drop-off/pick-up on time. Though we will never intentionally leave a child unattended, Grow Music is not responsible for any student outside of class time.
Parents/caregivers/siblings who stay for classes are expected to remain quiet and keep distractions to a minimum. Siblings cannot be left in the studio without parents. No cell phones/gaming unless absolutely silent, please.
Covid/Illness
Masks are welcomed but optional for all participants. Please wash/sanitize hands before entering the Grow Music Studio. There are restrooms outside the studio and sanitizer is provided.
PLEASE stay home if you or a contact have been exposed to Covid-19, any of it's variants, and/or are feeling ill in the slightest. Zooming into class is an option! Just give us enough several hours warning to get prepared for Zoom.
Should a teaching artist become ill, a substitute will be on call. If that cannot be arranged, there will be credit given for the missed class(es).
Grow Music follows all CDC and City of Missoula Covid-19 guidelines. Should Grow Music need to cancel a session in progress due to a change in directive, ZOOM options will be offered. If this is not viable, and if the session is less than half completed a 50% refund or credit will be offered for the remaining classes. If the session is more than half completed, credit for 25% of the remaining classes will be offered, no refunds will be given.
Should a family decide to end participation in a group class due to Covid concerns, and does not wish to continue via ZOOM, no refunds or credits will be given for remaining classes.
Nondiscrimination Grow Music Missoula admits, welcomes, and celebrates students, teachers, and staff of all races, color, creed, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and socio-economic status to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available through our programming. All are welcome.
