Our POLICIES aim to uphold respect for our teaching artists, honor the families we serve, foster consistency, and nurture a lifelong connection to music.
Nondiscrimination Grow Music Missoula admits, welcomes, and celebrates students, teachers, and staff of all races, color, creed, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and socio-economic status to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available through our programming. All are welcome.
Media
We occasionally document our classes and performances. Sometimes we like to share these images on our website or socials. We NEVER use names. Please reach out if you have concerns, requests, or explicitly DO NOT want us to use photos of your family members. Email: [email protected]
Group classes
Please do your best to be on time. Late arrivals disrupt teachers, other participants, and the flow of class.
If a student decides to withdraw during their multi-session or discounted enrollment, refunds will be calculated based on the non-discounted session cost, excluding the $40 retainer fee allocated for the subsequent session.
Group sessions are offered as a package. Since we keep our classes intentionally small, missed classes during a session cannot be refunded, made up, or credited.
Shall a student choose to withdraw after a session begins, no refunds will be given.
A $40 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your spot. Without the retainer, registration is not complete and a spot cannot be guaranteed. Enrollment is first-come.
Grow Music teachers reserve the right to cancel lessons due to illness or professional obligations. If one of our substitutes is not available, families will be informed as soon as possible and offered appropriate alternatives.
During class time, parents/caregivers are welcome to wait in the lobby or engage in timely drop-off/pick-up. Though we will never intentionally leave a child unattended, Grow Music is not responsible for any student outside of class time.
Parents/caregivers/siblings who stay for classes are expected to keep distractions to a minimum. Siblings may not be left in the studio without parents.
No cell phone/device use in the studio, please.
Grow Music reserves the right to refuse registration, terminate participation, cancel or change a class, if needed. All appropriate refunds or credits will be offered.
Individual lessons
Grow Music individual lessons are paid as monthly tuition by the first lesson of each month. If payment comes after the 10th, a $10 late fee is added to the following month.
All lessons needing to be canceled, changed, or rescheduled should be done through contacting your teacher.
A minimum 24-hours notice must be given for cancellation of individual lessons. If a teacher is not given 24hrs notice, you will be expected to pay for the missed lesson.
If a teacher is given more than 24-hours notice of cancellation, a make-up lesson or masterclass will be offered, depending on availability. If a reschedule is not possible, a refund or credit will be issued.
All Grow Music teachers reserve the right to cancel due to illness or other professional obligations. Families will be informed as soon as possible and offered appropriate alternatives.
Grow Music reserves the right to terminate a lesson spot after 3 last-minute cancellations or no-shows.
Lessons can still happen without a student's instrument! There are many additional things to learn about music (theory, history, notation, rhythm skills) that extend beyond our instruments.
ZOOM is offered for lessons. This is a great option for minor illness, weather, or transportation issues. Please give a 24hr request for Zoom so that we can prepare. Unreliable internet connections will not be refunded.
Current students who take individual lessons are welcome to a 10% discount on any group classes offered through Grow Music.
No cell phone/device use in the studio, please.
Illness
Masks are welcomed but optional for all participants. Please wash/sanitize hands before entering the Grow Music Studio. There are restrooms outside the studio and sanitizer is provided.
PLEASE stay home if you or a contact have been exposed to Covid-19, any of it's variants, and/or are feeling ill.
Should a teaching artist become ill, a substitute will be contacted. If that cannot be arranged in time, credit or refunds will be offered for the missed class(es).
Grow Music follows all CDC and City of Missoula Covid-19 guidelines. Should Grow Music need to cancel a session due to a change in directive, ZOOM options will be offered. If this is not viable, and if the session is less than half completed a 50% refund/credit will be offered for the remaining classes. If the session is more than half completed, refund/credit for 25% of the remaining classes will be offered.
Should a family decide to withdraw from a class due to Covid or illness concerns, and does not wish to ZOOM, no refunds or credits will be given.
